Shopping for interior, fashion and goodies in Haarlem
It was now five (time flies) years ago that we wrote this shopping in Haarlem list. And things sometimes change in a city in five years. This is also the case in Haarlem. Some shops came, others left and some are no longer to our taste (sorry). What do we really think are the nicest shops in the city on the Spaarne? Shopping in Haarlem at the nicest shops for interior design, fashion, care or treats.
Fun fact, if you wonder why Haarlem addresses have zw or r behind them. In Haarlem they indicate down or up with black or red. In houses with an upstairs apartment, you will see the house number twice on the door frame. Once in black and once in red.

Fashion, accessories, interior decoration, lifestyle and kids. And all that in one store. ID Store is California vibe inspired. Another unique Haarlem store Rugs & Ramblers. It started with vintage Moroccan rugs and grew to include everything that makes your home happy. Lamps (George Store), natural paint (Wow Makers), ceramics and sometimes a mini collection of cool clothing items. They have just opened in a beautiful new store and are definitely worth a visit. Bakenesserstraat 12zw
An original lampshade is sometimes just what your interior needs. To pimp up that old lamp base that your grandmother gave you or simply because you are missing color in your interior. * Closed * To stay with your furnishings, a beautiful bouquet of flowers or special plant is also indispensable. Of course, we are far from done. TradeStudio, Petit Depot, Anything else, Stylographer vintage and the shop with French food products Ti Bisou crèpes are all still part of it. And we're probably forgetting a few nicer ones.
From one Haarlem webshop to another. Atelier Labro we all know – right? – from the fiori necklaces. The Dutch jewelry brand now has an entire collection of jewelry with an Italian twist. Pearls, beautiful chain pendants, gold chains and earrings – everything can be wonderfully mixed. The Italo vibe is more than just jewelry and Labro also has crocheted bags, Italian skincare, cashmere scarves and books about Italy. Anyway, Labro used to be in a nice business park, but is now moving to the center of Haarlem. So that we can try on, feel and taste the collection (not really tasting of course, but that Italy chic taste the atmosphere). A few doors down from Mogador coffee bar, where the Magodor Bazaar pop-up used to be, Labro is opening a shop. We like it.
Labro, Gasthuisstraat Haarlem
Nothing to eat for a while, but don't miss: The babe, a dream of an interior design store in Haarlem. We want EVERYTHING. Saving is the credo. Would you like to walk past a shop window as beautiful as La Nena's without even thinking about it? We don't believe anything. Because reason one, name a store that comes close in terms of looks? You won't find them easily (they are there, but can be counted on one hand) in the Dutch shopping street scene. Reason two: those lamps, that crockery and those vases (three reasons for the price of one). And finally: everything you see comes straight from the already impressive Galicia, Lugo. There La Nena emerges as a mini-chain, spread throughout Spain's own interior and a little further afield.
