The best coffee in Haarlem can be found here… or here

Part of team Bart now lives in lovely Haarlem. And we're starting to know our places here. If you are going for a day of shopping, walking or whatever in “our” city, you will of course want coffee. Which coffee spots can you visit for a good cup of coffee and treats? The best coffee in Haarlem can be found here.

Of course, you don't come to Haarlem (just) for a cup of coffee. Shopping can be a lot of fun at these shops.

Jules

Jules

Haarlem's newest coffee favorite. Jules – from the stylish couple Renwe Jules and Linda Tol – there for a good filter coffee, your oat cappu and cinnamon rolls or smiley cupcakes on the side. You can sit outside in the sun. Inside it is cozy in the special interior with round shapes and natural materials such as pebbles and wood. In a short time, Jules has built up a steady fan base and we can compare it with Amsterdam's Saint-Jean.

Who

Who

Dated August '22 hot off the press: Who. This sweet coffee shop is different from the other coffee shops. Kohi is located in a multi-tenant business building in the Rozenprieel district. The amazing monumental building De Greiner is one breeding ground for creative entrepreneurs. At the bottom of the building (designed in 1935 in Amsterdam School style by architect Dick Greiner) there was still a nice catering area missing. Graphic designer and barista Anne van Kohi turned out to be the perfect match. Together with her partner she built the minimalist interior, which fits in beautifully with the special building. In terms of vibe, Kohi is nice and calm and a good place to really catch up, have a work date or have a cup of coffee with parents from the neighborhood schools after school. school run. Oh and the coffee is delicious.

Native

Native

Actually, we're not allowed to mention them. Because it is already so well attended. So you don't get it from us. Always cozy, always good food and above all you feel like you are at home here. That's Native. The coffee and lunch shop is located in one of the cozy streets of Haarlem and is always pleasantly busy. Gotta love it. And we do that.

Mica Coffee Bar

Mica Coffee Bar

If you are less interested in hustle and bustle but still want delicious coffee and treats, possibly vegan, then you are in the right place Mica at the right place. And a beautiful thing! Also in the cozy streets of Haarlem, but just a 5-minute walk from the hustle and bustle of shopping. There is a one in seven chance that you will find us there because we drink a delicious slow coffee there at least once a week. And while you're there, the vegan, gluten-free Snickers bar is delicious!

Ax Specialty Coffee

Ax Specialty Coffee

Opened last spring and very nice. In the small but nice category, Axel opened a coffee bar – yes, with only a bar where you can drink coffee – in a nice part of the shopping area. In addition to - also a favorite - De Slagersdatter, a butcher shop slash lunch shop with meat from responsible sources and many vegetarian options. And also the nice clothing store Kloffie. Delicious coffee of course and with a bit of luck you will have a nice seat in front Ax in the sun on a bench.

Life of Yuna

Life of Yuna

Completely fresh from the coffee press Life of Yuna! A concept store and coffee bar in one. What can you expect? Special coffees, coffee art and masterfully beautiful (and delicious) cakes and cakes. You can also have lunch! The store is also decorated with flowers, parasols and brightly colored walls.

Why Yuna? In Greek mythology, Yuna represents fertility and atmosphere. Yuna also stands for elegant and pleasant. A name with a story. At Yuna you come to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and relax.

Pip Deli

Pip Deli

Pip is not only a coffee shop but also a nice lunch shop. And hopefully later, when all the Crona issues have been resolved, a place for dinner. Anyway, back to coffee. They have delicious ones there. With breakfast, lunch or something sweet you can sit inside in a gorgeous interior and outside with a bit of luck in the sun.

Our Victors Espresso Bar

Our Victors Espresso Bar

You would almost think it is a Brabant spot, because of that 'our'. But the Brabos say 'our Victor' and we are in Haarlem, on the ever beautiful and atmospheric Spaarne. It is clear that this is all about coffee. John But there is more: really tasty fresh juices, for example, excellent croissants and incredibly tasty banana bread. Perfect pit stop for those walking to or from the city, just saying.

Cleeff Frans Hals

Cleeff Frans Hals

We definitely pass by a few times a month Cleeff on the Kleverparkweg. A corner café where it is often pleasantly busy, but rarely too busy. Sometimes we just order a latte to go, but we often stay in one of the vintage seats inside or outside on the sunny terrace. And now 023 has another Cleeff, with the same specialty coffee and an equally nice lunch menu. The popular café opened a second branch in the Frans Hals Museum in the colorful style of the museum. The door is also very open to non-museum visitors and when the sun comes out, this is one to remember; You can enjoy yourself under a parasol in the completely renovated courtyard.

The Coffee Spot

The Coffee Spot

They were already on a boat on the Spaarne, but a winter-proof spot was also allowed. The Coffee Spot now has a permanent spot among the terraces on the Spaarne. A hip coffee shop with pink wall tiles, wooden bar and hanging plants around the corner from the Grote Markt. Primetime, with the biggest plus being the sun-drenched terrace. A bit mainstream (lacks some character if you ask us) but yes, the sun and a reasonably large outdoor terrace makes up for a lot. This is a great place for a good coffee, matcha or piece of banana bread with boats passing by.

The Coffee Spot, Spaarne 38 (and in the spring the boat again at Hooimarkt 27)

If you would like some shopping with that coffee, at these stores you can shop for wonderful interior, fashion or tasty treats.

Coffee Habits

Coffee Habits

You would almost think that people from Haarlem drink coffee all day long. Because you will find one coffee spot after another. You want to go to Coffee Habits – except for the coffee – for the kanelbulles. It is a mini shop with a few seats inside and outside. And absolutely perfect for it coffee on the go.

LaMaru

LaMaru

LaMaru. The place for coffee, bread and sweets. A coffee shop, sourdough bakery and perch place in one.

From the outside there appear to be two new businesses next to each other. A coffee shop and a bakery, both with a separate entrance. Secretly – or actually not so secretly – they belong together. Completely betrayed by the same good looks. The interior of LaMaru is all white with wood and beautiful light. On the coffee side you can sit both inside and outside. And besides tasty – of course – they serve coffee and about ten pastries. From Swedish cinnamon buns to Portuguese pastel of nata and everything in between. On the bakery side, La Maru sells the most beautiful sourdough breads and goodies for snacks.

Mogador

Mogador

You will find Mogador at the Butter Market. A nice coffee spot with quite a bit of seating inside and outside. What we know most about Moga (for intimates) is the incredibly delicious tarts and cakes. So if you have a sweet tooth, off to Mogador. Of course, just coffee is also possible.
