5 x holiday destinations in France

Still looking for a nice place for summer or autumn? You can't go wrong with children in France. We put five beautiful French ones éA list of child-friendly gems for you.

Maison Craux
Maison Craux in the Ardèche is a gem. The house has not been open for long, but is already a hotspot. The owners rent out a completely renovated eighteenth-century villa for 10 people and a smaller house for 4 people. In both houses you can enjoy the beautiful view over the valley, all the luxury in the rooms, a swimming pool in the garden, a Nespresso machine, natural bath products, a basket of fresh croissants and baguettes every morning and a refrigerator filled with wine upon arrival. ! It's not cheap, but it sounds delicious! Maison Craux

Chateau de Dirac
This place! You don't really want to say it, but still: Oh Em Djie. All the beauty in a unique French spot and exactly as a unique French spot 'from the books' should be. The styling couple Isabelle and Hubert behind Les Petites Emplettes found a secluded castle, moved in with their three daughters (and two dogs) and took the time to convert it into what initially became a showroom and shop, but where private individuals are now also welcome to come and stay. Preferably in one of the gites, rooms or caravans on the site, but bringing your own camper or tent is (sometimes) also allowed. Otherwise, make sure you are in the area for one of the simple lunches or evening meals that make 'by the books' pale. Dirac Castle

Kimaro Farmhouse
The Kimaro Farmhouse is a little bit of Africa in French Burgundy. The Belgian-Dutch owners furnished a holiday home for four people and there are another five luxury safari tents for 6 people on the site. In the middle of French nature, perfect for strolling afternoons and reading a good book on your private terrace. And further perfecting doing nothing, because it is possible. In Les Bougauderies d'en Bas, Burgundy, France. Kimaro Farmhouse

The Campaign
Nature, tranquility and delicious food. Is that what you wish for your family this summer? Then we have a nice holiday address in Normandy for you: La Campagnette, a farm with campsite in a hamlet by the sea in La Manche. Wide beaches, where you can look for your own oysters. An environment of grain fields and quaint villages. Mussel restaurants with sea views. Need we say more? Oh yes, the Campagnette is from the owners of Z&M restaurant in Rotterdam. In addition to a nice meadow to pitch your tent or caravan, there are also three hip-primitive rooms for rent. Anyone who wants can sit down for a shared meal in the evening, made with fresh regional products, wild herbs from the dunes and vegetables from the vegetable garden. The Campaign

D'une ile
An hour and a half drive from Paris lies a medieval estate between the hills of Le Perche, where the Amsterdam couple Michel and Sofie (he a chef, she a designer) started a unique hôtellerie. You sleep in rooms that have been decorated by Sofie with a great sense of style and detail. In the morning she serves fresh corissants on grandmother's tableware. For the rest of the day you can relax and swing in the garden, and in the evening you can sit down with Michel, who makes the tastiest dishes with products from the region. So nice: they cook early for the little ones. They get a plate of pasta or a sausage with fries, and then there is just enough time to put them to bed before you can have dinner yourself. The dream address for those passing through France! D'une ile
