3 x back to nature addresses throughout. country, especially for Barts Soul Kids
As mentioned earlier was Bart's Soul Sister (Maud) this summer road tripping ended up in our country from Ibiza. Of course with the whole family. Since we are big supporters of spoon-feeding things every now and then, Barts Soul Sisters' kids also had to do it this summer. Back to nature it was.
The party started right away when we crossed the border and cruised into South Limburg's rolling hills. Here, the BareVoetenPark was the hit of the week with flying colors. In the middle of the Schutterspark nature reserve in Brunssum, you can walk barefoot on the paths and avenues to your heart's content. And that promises anything but a boring walk, because here you get to know nature by feeling it with your bare feet. Walk on a path of pine cones and tree bark, balance on tree trunks in the obstacle course pond, jump from boulder to boulder on the obelix path and get endlessly lost in the labyrinth. The highlight for the little people was without a doubt the mud bath at the end of the tour.
There is also something to learn for adults along the way: the park is bursting with wise lessons. You will find in-depth texts on the trees in the alley of spells, you will gain insight into the connection circle and you will learn to slow down in the relaxation circle. The love lane, the tree horoscope and the wish circle should certainly not be missed. Whose soul has now been inspired can have fun, because it BareFootPark regularly organizes Wellness days. Here you combine a mindful walk with yoga in the forest, foot reflexology massages and various workshops including - yes - toe reading.
Farm de Boer-inn is normally a farm. This summer they were also a campsite. Here you will find plenty of Dutch glory in the middle of the Groene Hart nearby Woerden. Nice and back to basic, but a true paradise for the kids. Think: ditch jumping, mud bathing, canoeing, golf, feeding pigs, hide and seek between the hay bales, go-karting, archery, roasting marshmallows and the icing on the cake for mothers is a real yoga session among the goats. What more could a person want?
Ok ok, this campsite 2.0 before la lettre has indeed been mentioned here before, but we would like to mention it again, because there is so much more beautiful (and also news!) to tell about it. And not least about what a party this place is for the offspring. Firstly because of the daily whirligig round at 17 p.m. (read: having a drink in peace while endlessly spinning further away). Not least because during the summer months all the kids work every week towards a true theater spectacle as the end - and also highlight - of the week. We had the pleasure of staying during the Denmark week and since we had a real (5-year-old) Viking with us, this theme was tailor-made for us. Saw swords, paint flags, build rafts, and then brave the waters of Lievelingsmeer with 50 fellow Vikings on the big day. Is it getting any better? In addition to all this children's entertainment (and abundance of wine), The Lievelinge Don't forget the Soul either. There are plenty of relaxing sessions on the program throughout the summer, including yoga and Qi Gong classes, the wake-up dance, movement & meditation and a real ice bath session.
