On popular request, via the well-known Instagram that is: where oh where do we get the beauty for our home? Provided it is a collection dating back many years, and you can no longer find most of the items, we definitely have a number of permanent go to addresses, most of them just a mouse click away. And yes, they are some rock solid no brainers, but still nice to have them pressed under your nose again.
Below the first in mind tips, but we forget a few anyway: they will follow soon. We just keep replenishing.
Anyone who has to furnish a house knows: there's nothing as difficult and important as a good lighting plan. That's why we've dedicated an entire chapter to this. spend on the lights in your home. So far so good.

The best ideas are simple, but they must be executed well. That's the case with Bright Little Things: Anne and Kitty have created a series of stunningly beautiful switches in three different styles that can be attached to the interior of a wide variety of common outlets and switches using a magnetic backing. First things first: the walls! Nothing is more important than your canvas. Now we swear by color. Everywhere. No more white to be seen, or it must be a conscious choice and not because it is 'so nice and safe': even a light color can be safe, but it still looks a lot warmer than dull white. For example Hardwick White van Farrow & Ball, one of the most beautiful neutral shades on earth: not white as the title suggests, but a soft gray with even a touch of green. If you want it just a little warmer, more towards beige, then yes Skimming stone also really beautiful All Farrow & Ball colours always have that 'indeterminate'. That slightly greyed, that beautiful matte and colours that are unprecedented spot-on .
That said: we are also big fans of Little Green.
I never met a strip I didn't like… In comes Colors of Arley!
Colours of Arley is a British interior design brand specializing in bespoke striped fabrics for distinctive spaces, whether it's a home, studio, or small business. Customers can choose their own unique stripe patterns and color combinations, and everything is absolutely fantastic. All products are made to order in their family-owned workshop in the UK, with a zero-waste approach, using a significant amount of recycled materials. There's a physical store in East London, but Colours of Arley ships worldwide. Oh, and not just fabrics, but also bespoke striped wallpaper.
Speaking of beautiful… Dusty Deco Dusty Deco is a Swedish interior design brand founded in 2009 by Edin and Lina Kjellvertz, a couple who turned their hobby—scouring flea markets for furniture and decor for their apartments—into their profession. From flea markets in the South of France to vintage furniture with a story. What began as a weekend getaway quickly became a way of life, and the couple traded cold Sweden for sunny Mallorca. Dusty Deco is now a Swedish family business with showrooms in both Palma and Stockholm.
The Dusty Deco collection of furniture, rugs, and objects draws inspiration from iconic pieces they've created and from shapes they deeply cherish. The collection is luxurious yet raw, modern yet classic.

A living Pinterest board is what you'll find at Loods 5. Everything beautiful, everything clever, and everything we want. Loods 5 has been around since 1999, and what started as a factory outlet has grown into a home furnishings store where you can find everything you need. You'll find just about everything and much more from hundreds of brands. Not just one, but dozens of different styles. It's the place to browse when you need a dose of inspiration.
Participants – mostly brands – rent a retail space (a unit) at Loods 5 to showcase their own collections. They have high expectations for participants, and renting a unit is no small feat. Loods 5 has a great online store, but in Zaandam you can find them in the old Bruynzeel factory, for example, and in Maastricht they're located in the old Sphinx factories. The newest store in Duiven is brand new. All stores are easily accessible and have ample parking.
Want to score pearls for a steal? You can at the Garage in Zaandam Shop with discounts of up to 70 percent. No sloppy stuff, but smart sofas and cozy tables to comfortable and beautiful chairs, rugs and hundreds of accessories. Some furniture has a small dent, but these are mainly lightly used showroom models, brand new samples and older collections.
We have a soft spot for beautiful tiles. On the floor, in the kitchen, around the toilet, in the bathroom and wherever else you want to stick them (our next project is the wall in the garden, by the way). From light colors to dark green or red – everything is beautiful as long as they are those nice, unique, slightly less than perfect tiles. That's what makes your house so original, from a little 'imperfection'. Moroccan zelliges are a forever favorite, although there are more options. Where do we get those tiles from? Ha! Beautiful, sustainable and Dutch. For a sustainable design interior be sure to visit Studio HENK. We love the modular wall cabinets, the refined oak tables, the benches in muted or bold colors and the wonderfully comfortable chairs. Studio HENK was started ten years ago by the two brothers, Okke and Xander, and they now have interior design stores in Amsterdam, Antwerp, Utrecht, Rotterdam and Haarlem. A must visit when you are on a furniture hunt.
What is now a "serious" interior design brand began with a dining table made of reclaimed wood, crafted in their father-in-law Henk's workshop. The brothers behind HENK saw their brand grow and felt they only wanted to expand if they could reduce their environmental impact. No sooner said than done, and Studio HENK became a B-Corp.
The quality of the furniture is so good that it will last a lifetime and to ensure this, they offer various services, such as repairs, reupholstery, upgrades and returns after use. Second chance corner The website is definitely worth a visit. You might just find the perfect piece of furniture for your interior.
There's nothing more fun than turning an 'empty' space into an eye-catcher; Even if you don't have much space, it's definitely worth it. Coming home to a colorful hall is always a treat and retreating to an 'inspiring' toilet is just as fun, I promise. Bonus: because you are talking about a relatively small space, it is easier to invest in nice, often more expensive brands - you don't need that much anyway.

The fun Kulu Club makes cheerful placemats in a clean design. Sleek and cheerful, in other words: the perfect mix. The placemats are made of a linen blend and have a wow rand, frills or are embroidered. The Rotterdam Kulu Club had placemats as well as napkins, so mixing colors and shapes is a great option. Of course the well-known marktplaats, although you have to know where to look. There are people who have a hobby there but don't have enough space in their home to put everything. For example, take a look at it Liza Chloe's Instagram account. She sometimes has really great finds that she shares, with links and all.
But that's not the only marketplace to turn to! It new naduvi is a wonderful collection of an interior outlet with all beautiful brands for much less.
You can also go to Whoppah. The site is not yet well known, but it has a number of gems.
And then there is of course Etsy: the very best place where you can find posters and other beautiful (unique) wall art. Get it list of favorites for the wall especially just for a moment.
International, not cheap, but inspiring and hey, saving for something is worth something too!

Our garden is still a bit 'under construction', but we are already very happy with the colours! On the doors Sap Green from the Color by Nature collection by Farrow & Ball and sits on the wall and bench Broccoli Brown – a perfect match.
Color by Nature? Of course. This color collection was developed by Farrow & Ball together with the National History Museum. The colors are also available for indoors, but I think they are beautiful for outdoors. The makers think so too, which is why a special exterior finish (Exterior Eggshell) was developed. Kudos! Never again.
