You can drink coffee, have lunch, buy (sourdough) bread for home and sleep: the new hotspot Bloem in Alkmaar have it all. The bakery café is located in the old city of Alkmaar and is in a beautiful authentic building with stained glass windows. Breakfast with fresh bread, lunch with a healthy salad, satisfy your sweet tooth with delicious baked goods from your own kitchen or just drink a cup of very good coffee or tea. The little ones can enjoy themselves in the play corner (a real playhouse is in the making!) and when your hunger has been satisfied, you can walk out the door and find yourself in the middle of Alkmaar's nicest neighborhood full of nice shops and bars. Tired of shopping, you can go to the B&B above the bakery, where kids are more than welcome. There you will be warmly welcomed with fresh flowers, chocolates and a handwritten card. The apartment has a private entrance, a living room and a kitchenette with fine Nespresso coffee. And when the weather is nice, you can step straight from the bedroom onto your own roof terrace.
