De Ceuvel is a pretty brilliant plan that took shape piece by piece over the past year. That plan in a nutshell: a number of written-off houseboats that were given a permanent place on the quay (at an old shipyard) in Amsterdam North (near interior favorites Cousin Louis en Van Dijk and Ko) and where the boat owners act completely self-sufficiently. Barter that is, such as furniture makers who do odd jobs in exchange for a website. The result: a young and creative 'office park' where people do what they are best designed for Studio Falconer.

And where people work, there must be food and drink. Cafe de Ceuvel is the answer and cool-underground-German on the water is the atmosphere. All choices are as socially and ecologically responsible as possible, in terms of food and drinks, but the aim is also to function as a cultural platform - who the shoe fits… And he does. Cafe de Ceuvel is already the nicest outdoor cafe in the city, a bit of a detour, yes, but it's worth it, you can immediately take a cooling dip (don't dive, that's dangerous) and float in one of the tires. Cafe de Ceuvel
