Trip to Drenthe: Spend the night in a Luxury Tree House
Drenthe is the ideal place for one trip to relax and relax for a while reset. A different environment, put on your walking shoes and hit the paths and avenues! Have you seen all those hotels by now? When you drive onto the Tolhek estate and see a gigantic tree house at the end of the unpaved road with tall trees, you immediately get Pippi Longstocking vibes. The tree house is located between the tall trees, equipped with swings and go-karts for the children. A stream runs beneath the tree house, as if it could be even more idyllic. The tree house is not just a children's paradise; it is a spacious luxury accommodation with two bedrooms, a bathroom, a spacious kitchen and a cozy sitting area, so leaving the kids at home could also be a good idea. The tree house is surrounded by nature: from every corner of the tree house you have a view of the surrounding greenery, with the highlight being the view from the balcony. Double points, because this tree house has no less than two (!). Starting the morning with breakfast on the balcony overlooking the Pieterpad sounds pretty good, right?
Treehouse tolhek is located on the edge of the Tolhek Estate, an area of approximately twelve hectares full of forest and nature. From the balcony of the tree house you have a view of a large meadow along which the Pieterpad runs, a walking path from the Groningen Wadden coast to the Sint-Pietersberg near Maastricht. It was once built by two friends, because (you guessed it) one friend lived in Groningen and the other in Maastricht. If you want to walk the entire path, it will take you a while, but a short walk is definitely worth it. The first part of the path runs through the estate's woods; bring a picnic blanket, a bag full of goodies and don't wear anything else.
