Hotel Casa Teva – your home in Barcelona

El Raval is a neighborhood with character: a bit rougher around the edges than the polished tourist spots elsewhere in the city, and that is precisely why it is so nice. Hotel Casa Teva is located right in the middle of it, a two-minute walk from the Ramblas, with Palau Güell around the corner, and crowd pleaser (Restaurant) La Cañete is practically next door. A stroke of luck, because at La Cañete We normally roll home. This time, that is literally possible too: a few meters away, we are waiting. Hotel Casa TevaCasa Teva is Catalan for 'your house'. Your house for a weekend in Barcelona.

Inside it is fifty shades of beige, but done rightLatte-frappuccino beige, combined with rugged materials that make that beige work damn well. Think of a stainless steel kitchen doubling as a breakfast bar, a small stainless steel bar with stools, quirky art on the walls, and empty wine bottles proving once again that they still belong among the coziest decorations. Everything is softened with linen cushions and rich fabrics in, naturally, warm beige tones. And then there are the lamps. The lamps by Santa & Cole are definitely on the wish list. Enough interior inspiration to immediately be a few screenshots and search queries richer at home.

In the morning, the lobby serves as a breakfast area – the aroma greets you as soon as you enter the elevator. Fresh fruit, sweet treats like croissants and pancakes, delicious mini donuts, plus savory options. You can eat your fill. In the evening, that same space transforms into Restaurant Arraval: the contemporary Catalan cuisine of three chefs who simply love to cook. Àlex, Marcos, and Jordi cook rooted in tradition but inspired by the vibrant mix of El Raval. Complemented by a good selection of natural wines.

Book your entire trip in one place. Did you know that through Booking.com you can book not only accommodations, but also flights, attractions, rental cars, and airport taxis?

The rooms are compact but smartly designed. Just right for two people who mainly want to head into the city and are looking for a good bed at the end of the day. Thick, wonderfully soft towels hang in the bathroom. The windows can be opened – a detail you only appreciate when it is missing. And some rooms have a small French balcony at the front. Small, but exactly the spot to start the morning with a coffee in hand, together with the city.

The staff receives full applause not only from us but also in all the reviews: warm, helpful, and always up for a good tip. Casa Teva has exactly what you are looking for in a city hotel: quiet enough to catch your breath, cozy enough to linger downstairs for a while, and above all, a base that ensures you keep walking in and out of Barcelona.
