A few weeks ago the time had come: THE DEADLINE. Floortje Ingen Housz actually came by. My heroine with a camera who I bumped into last year and told me about our Ibiza plans at the time. She then enthusiastically suggested that she come and take photos and kept her word: she came. And of course that was also my deadline! Like earlier I had already set many things in motion: the handmade Kimonos from Sophia Bentoh and the indigo bedspread from Blueprint Amsterdam were ready and were taken in his hand luggage by a friend who came to do some work. In the meantime, my husband had made the crossing by car. Bomb full of all my collections and treasures He arrived here from travels from days gone by - our Amsterdam spot has now really been stripped bare.

At the last moment he also had two paintings of it Anne Olden Kalter shoved in the trunk. Just barely fit. It was still exciting for a while, but Hassan from Marrakech had also kept his word: the rugs, cushion covers and other treasures from our Morocco trip trickled in.

In our new store Ibiza Interiors friends, the temptation was very difficult to resist: those beautiful wooden chairs from Weltevree would look perfect on the rooftop, and that round black table really completed the Guestroom on the first floor... Marieke Kuijl from Ceramaric was meanwhile busy turning bowls. and the paintings of Milou Neelen en Kat Klerks were framed and hung.

The amazing furniture of Morentz's dear friends was transported with last minute couriers so that they would actually arrive just in time for the shoot. Mom was still struck by the flu, but in the end even the pillow covers arrived on time.

At the last minute, Longlivedequeen Hetty showed up with a container full of beautiful clothing samples and, as icing on the cream cake, Hammam34 appped her. Whether I wanted to deliver some Tropical shots at the pool in exchange for some of their beautiful products... Duhh!

And so at Ibiza Interiors we picked beautiful intern Carmen from behind her internship to act as a model and then the time had come: along came Floor. She arrived in all weather conditions (well, that can happen even in Ibiza - usually about once a year...) We had to avoid the downpours and whirlwinds, but in the end she managed better than fantastically well. to shoot an incredibly beautiful image.

For those who actually dare to take on the – Forever August – experience, there will still be a gap here and there in the next six months, so just ring a bell!

And it gets better… There's a good chance (okay, no promises, but still... a good chance) that the sun will show itself in full force next weekend - as if it were already August. We mean the weekend of April 20 to 23. Coincidentally, Siempre Agosto still has a room available and we can give it away!
