New colors for the Stokke Tripp Trapp: Warm Red & Soft Mint
You say Stokke (you know, that wonderful children's label), then you actually say Tripp trapp. In fact, there are even people who don't even know that the Tripp Trapp, that chair that grows with your child, is from Stokke. The Tripp Trapp is, to say the least, an icon. We literally don't know anyone (unless blessed with kids of course) who doesn't have it at home and we love'n out of the pan. So then there were two gorgeous new colors of this one only real one #ChairForLife (we are also on it) came out, we were there like the chickens. Hot Red! Soft Mint! Yes! Throw it on us!
You could actually compare Stokke's Tripp Trapp with Ikea's Bekvam, that well-known step stool – who doesn't have one at home? What starts as a handy stool to stand on often ends up being a place for the plant. Now we don't put a plant on the Tripp Trapp (although... quite a good idea; it's nice enough for that) but it does last a very long time and is used by (literally) every family member.
That is exactly the (brilliant) idea of the design, conceived and designed by Peter Opsvik, from the Tripp Trapp: from the moment your little one is born, he or she can sit at the table, thanks to the (also very successful) accessories from Stokke. A baby tub, the Newborn Set, where no one will fall out (and where the cutest accessories are for sale, such as all kinds of covers in the nicest prints, but that's besides the point). This way, the little one immediately sits at eye level at the table with the rest of the family. Pleasant and good for his development. After 6 months you switch to the Baby Set: a closed seat that can accommodate little ones up to 3 years old. The seat and footboard can then be adjusted so that he/she/you can use it for the rest of your adult life! Once more: pretty damn brilliant. Oh, what we also like is the footboard with which the little one could quickly sit in his own spot! So big and cool (yet so small).
The Tripp Trapp Soft Mint and Tripp Trapp Warm Red are both available for €199. A Baby Set is available for €49.
We are big fans of the Tripp Trapp colors here! And about the quality of the wood. Not at all going on here yet, but did you know that you can paint your Tripp Trapp very easily? That's right! This means that the chair will not only last for years in terms of ease of use and seating, but you can also adapt it to your interior.
Because we find the design of the chair very timeless and beautiful, we consciously chose (after a matching Tripp Trapp) for a wonderful contrasting color in our home: we think the warm red shade is beautiful and nicely 'flames' with the white marble table and olive green chairs.
A contrast color that still matches (note, here is a useful interior tip) because both colors, olive green versus warm red, belong to a warm color palette. Both are not primary colours, pastel shades or grayish colours, but the 'dirty' version of their 'mother colour' (red and green) and that is precisely why they are a beautiful combination. A handy trick that you can always use when you have doubts about the colors in your home!
WIN!
Very nice: we can give away such a timeless, iconic Tripp Trapp in one of the two new fresh colors! And if you can't choose, we understand, you can also choose from a beechwood (all types) variant. What do you have to do for that? A photo of your interior expats must register with the local municipality and obtain a GIF's of the Tripp Trapp (you can find it via IG Stories when you search under 'Stokke') share over instagram and at that Tag @stokkebaby and @bartsboek. Keep Bart's Booklet instagram but keep an eye out, it will pass by. Success!
