Strandzuid Smaak, Amsterdam – July 29-31, 2016

Fancy a freebie that is allowed to get out of hand in advance and preferably? Or do you actually want to go to the beach with the kids, but you don't have time to travel to the coast? Say no more and block the weekend from July 29-31 in your agenda. The city beach Strandzuid near the RAI will be transformed into a mini festival with food trucks and entertainment for young and old. Participating red trucks include Frozz (frozen yoghurt, delicious in that heat), Pofferdikkie (organic poffertjes) and Glaceer Fou (nitrogen ice creams). Oysters come from Henry and for a heartier bite we turn to Deli Lama. Especially for the baker.

Everything is fine, everything is tasty, but how does it work? Like this: on Friday evening, Strandzuid Smaak will be opened in combination with the beer drink, a monthly Burgundian Friday afternoon drinks with something beer for everyone (ha-ha): silent disco, beer pong, table football; shout it and it is there. Plus: beer, lots of beer.

You can go there around lunchtime on Saturday and Sunday, and there is plenty to do for the little ones on those days. Adjacent to the pond (gate between them, don't panic mothers) of the Beatrix Park, Strandzuid will be decked out with, among other things, a Photo Booth, merry-go-round, face painting corner and stage with live music. Entrance is free, so bring a shovel, a bucket, put on slippers and go! Strandzuid Smaak.
