The coffee hotspot of The Hague: Thrive Coffee House
Of course you already knew that there are plenty of nice coffee shops in The Hague (see for example our list of 6 great coffee shops in The Hague). But to be fair: there are still neighborhoods where a good coffee shop wouldn't be out of place. One of those neighborhoods was the Geuzenkwartier. Behold: Thrive Coffee House, exactly the kind of coffee shop that makes you happy. Think: really good coffee, a great team (with the owner himself behind the coffee machine), a light corner building with cozy seats and a sunny terrace. We don't really need to say more, do we?
A beautiful corner building always has an advantage: extra windows, more light, you know how it goes. Thrive understands that. Outside, the terrace is great, but inside, you will also be happy with the interior: fresh, warm and with its own character. By the way, the building is impossible to miss, not only because of the corner location, but also because of the logo with blue letters that you can see from the street.
Once inside we knew immediately: this belongs in Bart's Booklet. Thrive Coffee Roasters doesn't necessarily do anything new, but it doesn't have to. They just do everything right. From really good coffee (check!) and a warm welcome (check!) to a counter full of goodies (yes, also check!). And then those intangible extras: the vibe, the energy, the branding, the decor, it's all right.
You can tell: we are fans. And we totally understand why people from far outside the Geuzenkwartier make a detour for this.
