We have talked about Hilversum here before. And that you may come there every day (because of work) and that it sometimes proves difficult to find an original and tasty address. We have already checked out a few and are adding a new one to our favorites list: the all-in-one store Bazs in Hilversum. Restaurant, wine bar and delicatessen, all next to each other. We felt the click. Something with a shared love for B-words (and good food and drinks): Bar Bazs, Bites Bazs, Barts Bazs... You get the idea.

Get straight to the point: at Bazs in Hilversum it is best to do exactly that. Get straight to the point. The place is ideal for that, thanks to the relaxed atmosphere. Bazs looks like a living room and acts like one. We call that a bit of coming home. When we inquire with chef Boris, it turns out that this was exactly the intention when opening Bazs Hilversum. Everyone is welcome, always. Boris puts on his baseball cap while cooking. He likes it and that's how he wants his guests to feel. Whether you come in your jogging suit or your tuxedo, it's all possible. Nice language. Another plus for Bazs: our Boris (may we say) has a milk allergy himself and he notices that this is not taken seriously in many restaurants. Not so with Bazs, you understand.

But we came to eat, because hungry (and allergy-free, that's besides the point). Turns out we're in the right place: the menu is small but nice, just the way we like it. It includes a delicious cauliflower curry soup and an eggplant tartare. Sounds tasty. It's tasty. Promise.

And there's more: besides restaurant Bazs houses brother Bazs: Bazs Bites. And hallelujah, what a divine deli it is. Cheese lovers, this is the place to be. There are countless different types of cheeses (okay, you can count them, but you know what we mean), a variety of olive oil, truffle chips, nuts, chocolates and more. Bazs' fun package is completed by the range of wines: here too, there is plenty to choose from and the staff of the business will guide you through the range. Perfect place to stock up for the holidays. You can also put together your own package, from everything in the store. Nice for dinner at home, but also a great Christmas gift.

On to the next place: to be honest, The Best of Bazs according to team Bart. You guessed it: the wine bar. Here too, the wonderful homely style was implemented and various activities were organized at regular intervals. Take Wednesday game day (like!) or Friday Pub Quiz Day. Anyway, all in all we stayed much longer than planned since Bazs is truly a one stop shop: start in the store, dine in the Bazs restaurant and end the evening in the wine bar (we did that too, nothing more to do about it). ).
