Croos, Rotterdam

At Bertmans in Rotterdam Noord, straight ahead along the Zaagmolenkade, across the water, at the Aldi turn left onto the Paradijslaan, into the Crooswijk district, stop at the corner of the Exercitiestraat - voilà, this is how you arrive at the wonderful new (and remarkably spacious) Croos. The artful business is - what you call - an asset to the neighborhood: coffee from Man with Glasses (= always a good idea), rough art on the walls (= the way we like it), a friendly vibe in a cool room (= more people should do that), a good place to open the laptop again (hello free & fast WiFi) and there is a very, very child-friendly play area, with a kitchenette (= for the toast, that's why).

The menu includes a variety of coffees and teas, but the ladies are especially proud of the cake - and there are quite a few variations. Although, apparently, the menu isn't available yet set in stone: comments are allowed and who knows, maybe something will be done with it. Although the home-made bread remains anyway, and rightly so. Croos receives bonus points for the vouchers, which can be purchased online. So that you can offer someone another 'sweet hour', a 'coffee (or tea) card' or a drink moment. croos
