Practical and fun: subscriptions that are worth your while
Dru, dru, busy! Yet we also love it, always being 'on'. Always on the go: working, picking up the kids, exercising, cooking, dropping off the kids, working, if we're lucky, when the little one is in bed, we flop on the couch with some Netflix in between and then it's back to normal the next morning. go go go. There are a number of clever tricks that help: making sure there is food ready, for example. And ensure that the regular weekly or monthly items arrive automatically.
Subscriptions, that is the new purchase of peace and space. A handful of favorites:
Flower scent, powder scent or whatever fragrance trend called oud (pronounced: oud, oodh). We prefer to try out as many scent combinations as possible. A downside: those huge bottles that remain half full on your already too busy bathroom cabinet (or find a new destination unopened as a birthday gift for someone you don't actually know or burst when you're traveling). The inventors of the brilliant concept recognized this problem (or actually: those problems). Parfumado. They therefore launched a perfume subscription, where you receive a new perfume every month for € 14,95 per month that you can discover. Ha!
Admittedly, there is little we enjoy more than shopping for the small stuff. After all: dresses, jackets, trousers and rompers are just a bit more fun in a mini version. Only... They grow out of it so quickly! Poop. And sometimes you just forget to shop for them. Poop times 2. And that's true the French Gamine Gamine Comes in. If you take out a subscription for your offspring, you will receive a great set every month (always 2 items) + an accessory (surprise!) of simply excellent quality for less than 30 euros! Since coffee is essential in (almost) every household, a subscription is recommended. It may seem a bit exaggerated, but secretly it is very nice to always have a supply at home. It is always possible to adjust your order, pause or cancel your subscription, so you can keep the reins (cups) in your own hands.
Not only people love coffee, plants love it too. At least on the coffee cups The Coffee Boys, because they are made from and for plants. Because they are 100% biodegradable, you can throw them on your compost heap or in the organic waste bin after use. Is that sustainable coffee also drinkable? Sure. First of all we have just been mercilessly influenced by this: The Solution. A powder, we read, that wrinkles like snow in the sun (sort of speaking) disappears. Yep, that's what we thought too. There's nothing better than coming home and finding dinner already on the table. Let's join in, well that sounds great. With the stew subscription Potschaft company is it arranged that way? We are a bit 'like' the Amsterdam House of Watt because the people of this wonderful place understand that their local is a beetroot is out of the way for many urban Amsterdam residents. Nice to receive but also so nice to give away. Flowers, we love them. They are cheerful, handsome and (usually) smell nice. A day never goes by without fresh flowers in the house. And if they are not fresh, then they are dried. It works simply. You choose the style of flowers that you like. Then you decide how often, where and when and via your own account you choose the time of delivery, choose a vase, or not. Does your previous forest still look beautiful? Then you skip a new round. And if we are in the flower corner, we think this is not to be missed. Reflower, a sustainable flower library. You rent artificial flowers with a matching vase for 20 euros per month. Are you looking forward to it? No problem, the whole thing is simply exchanged for a new set of flowers, how much does that cost? Fifteen euros each time. And we get it, because are those artificial flowers beautiful? Yes very. We also think artificial flowers is the wrong word here, permanent flowers sounds better. Reduce, Reuse, Reflower.
What's also great about the subscriptions, every time another one comes in, it's like unwrapping a gift. A gift to yourself.
