Tent 6, Zandvoort

Tent 6, Zandvoort

Some may call it the most 'ordinary beach' in the country (really, I heard) but for others (read: we at Barts Boekje) it is perfect because it is within train distance of Amsterdam and because there are no people who call it an ordinary beach. (read: Amsterdammers looking for something 'hipper'). One of the nicest beach tents in Zandvoort is Tent 6, owned by the man from Haarlem Colette concerned and Amsterdam LAB111 (read: good news), and the woman who co-managed TrouwAmsterdam. And it will open again at the end of February 2016!

It is large and otherwise just as a beach tent should be, with hanging benches, rocking chairs, hanging plants and wooden chairs. Open every day from 9 am, for those who want to secure their spot early (read: do it!). Just like last summer, good for breakfast, lunch and dinner from a Mediterranean-oriented menu with mostly local, healthy and fresh products. New for the new beach season is the menu from the board to share. Every other week the chef puts together a menu consisting of 3 starters, main courses and desserts, served on large wooden planks and enamel dishes. So to share. Every Sunday between 15 and 18 p.m. there is a DJ and the oysters are €1 each. Tent 6

And: Tent 6 is an official wedding location. The business can be partially rented and the square pavilion is perfect for groups.

But don't discount Ubuntu either: Ubuntu
