The Seafood Bar Spui, Amsterdam
You already wanted to go to The Seafood Bar on Amsterdam's van Baerlestraat, diagonally opposite the Vondelpark, for about the tastiest fish & chips, oysters, sea food and lobster (and soup), which also attracted a lot of people. Do. And that is why the people of Brabant (= always good news) behind the fish shop (well, fish-plus actually) were able to start the purchase and renovation of their second shop. In the heart of the city, The Seafood Bar Spui has been a fact for some time (hurray!).
Some of it became quite a bit (read: gigantic) bigger, but just as white and light and tasty as the first. Not only for dinner but also the perfect base for a (work) lunch, because being in the heart of the city and honestly a piece of fish in the afternoon is delicious. Especially when the sandwiches are so full of fish, although lunch without bread is also very nice here. Just slurp up some oysters or a fish platter with everything, because why not. No, exactly, and you won't hear your dining companion complaining when he or she is enjoying some smoked salmon, great razor clams or some shrimps. He will only thank you on his bare knees for the good choices you made.
Even better than being served nothing but delicious food at The Seafood Bar is that it is also done in a sustainable way. The fact that they work with green energy, produce less waste than before, purify their own water and even cook gas-free is very nice, but what we especially want to know is that the fish is not caught in a harmful way. That is why The Seafood Bar gets their fish directly in IJmuiden from the supplier where they know that the fish stocks always have a say in the fishing. They are also affiliated with the Good Fish Foundation, these not only guarantee the process, but also investigate how it can be improved.
