Summer at the Amstel Hotel (Amsterdam): The Bols Spritz Garden is open

Two Amsterdam icons joining forces. Bols, founded in 1575 and thus the world's first cocktail brand, and the Amstel Hotel, one of the city's most iconic addresses since 1867, together form an ode to Amsterdam. For the occasion, the terrace of the Amstel Hotel has been renamed The Bols Spritz GardenWhat you drink here will surprise no one: Spritz. But the classy version.

The terrace is, as we have come to expect from the Amstel Hotel, immaculately furnished. A place that transitions seamlessly from a sunny afternoon to a long, languid summer evening. The Spritz Menu invites you not to choose: from Pink Grapefruit and Elderflower to Lychee, Peach, and Royal Blue. The Peach Spritz is a favorite, by the way. A dangerously favorite, even, because you drink it down like lemonade. Fortunately, there are also non-alcoholic versions on the menu. Pair a Spritz with oysters, lobster rolls or a good charcuterie board.

Anyone visiting the terrace this summer would do well to pick a Thursday. That is when DJ Girl with the Pearl provides the music. The Bols Spritz Garden is open daily all summer. Monday through Wednesday from 4:00 PM, Thursday through Sunday from 11:00 AM. Until midnight. Make sure to plan it in.
