KASTAN

KASTAN

Close to the station, hidden among the chestnut trees, is an old farm barn where you can KASTAN finds – a restaurant that is running at full speed. The name is of course a nod to those robust chestnut trees, which are just as local as what ends up on your plate here. After the success of THE ROOF in Haarlem, Dennis and Jeroen have joined forces with Joris Gijs from Gulpener and KASTAN has entered the waters. And yes, the restaurant is doing great! Here you can taste dishes with a local touch, inspired by the polder and the rich agricultural history. What can you expect? Think of dishes such as pointed cabbage with ginger cream, Szechuan oil, crispy celery, dates and fresh goat cheese. Or go for a hearty pointed cabbage rendang with grey bean tempeh, bok choy, sweet and sour bundle mushroom, crispy onion and roasted maitake.

In Hoofddorp a lot revolves around business, but in between all the hustle and bustle you will find the modern business More to me. Here you are welcomed by blue velvet chairs, black tables, a dark floor and pink Japanese ornamental cherries that add just that little bit of extra charm. The marble bar gives the whole a chic look. The contemporary interior was designed by Eric Kuster, who is known for his metropolitan luxury style. The menu includes dishes such as sashimi, nigiri, sushi rolls and dim sum. And good to know: Masami is open from Monday to Friday, so you can always drop by.

Situated in the middle of nature, surrounded by trees and overlooking the lake, it is a beautiful place. In the summer it is fantastic, but also in the winter it offers an idyllic view that you don't want to miss. One of Papa's favorites? Smoked wild salmon with wasabi cream, hoisin, wakame and papadum. Den Burgh

Den Burgh

In 2011, the decision was made on the edge of Hoofddorp: Den Burgh, an maintenance dining restaurant in a stylish, transformed farm, led by Jurriaan Temme and chef Marc van der Tang. Here you will find a top restaurant where every dish appears on your plate as a work of art. And of course, a farm comes with its own vegetable garden – so fresh from the press.
